Gospel is Central
Redeemer Community (RC) values a Gospel-centered approach to personal life and ministry, exalting in and working from the implications of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We believe preaching and discipleship should be intentionally gospel-centered in theology and practice. — “And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” – 1 Corinthians 2:1-2
Doctrine is Biblical
Redeemer Community (RC) values the necessity of the Bible in the Christian faith and spirituality. We believe healthy Christian lives in community require expositional biblical teaching and education driven by a desire to understand how God is speaking to us through the Bible. We believe God’s people might understand His will, submit to His authority, and find vitality in His truth through the Bible. — “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” – 1 Timothy 4:2
Worship is Reverential
Redeemer Community (RC) values the worship of God in community regardless of whether that community is gathered together in person or scattered throughout the world. We desire to glorify God in our corporate and personal circles. Worship is both expressed in song and in practice throughout our daily life to honor God. — “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” – Romans 12:1-2
Culture is Missional
Redeemer Community (RC) values the flexibility to be both biblically faithful and culturally engaging as we proclaim the unchanging gospel message in terms and methods that overcome cultural and social barriers to understanding. We desire to live on mission at home, across the street, and around the world – that God’s love would be revealed to our local and global neighbor. — “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
Kingdom is Essential
Redeemer Community (RC) values God’s work and wisdom through the worldwide body of Christ – acknowledging diversity of theological and ministry convictions. We welcome and pursue collaborative ministry partnerships with like-minded movements, denominations, churches, and other Christian ministries, for the sake of the gospel. We see God’s Grace and beauty in our unity through diversity. — “Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 15:5
